Welcome
My Inspiration
Hi I’m Jenny and I want to invite you into my world of colour and curiousity. All my work is inspired by my love of the outdoors which I developed from an early age. One of my Great Aunts lived in the Yorkshire Dales and I have many happy memories of visiting her and my uncle.
Closer to home, local parks give me another place to find inspiration and another place I can go to when I want to clear my head and chill. Appreciating Nature is a Superpower I believe we can all acquire. My work is an attempt capture this wonder in the world around me: hearing the chattering of the magpies warning the other birds there is cat about or maybe a fox; the songs of the blackbird and robin sharing today’s news; even the sound of the rain on the leaves, feeds my soul.
Fellow travellers are welcome on this journey and if you feel inspired I would love to see your work – please share on my Instagram account.
Its been lovely to meet you, I do hope you will keep in touch x
This “Dazzle” artwork was my first serious piece of artwork using acrylic paint. I got the idea from the Dazzle Ferry, which Sir Peter Blake was commissioned to design in 2015. “Everybody Razzle Dazzle” (2015) covers the Mersey Ferry, Snowdrop was the third in a series of Dazzle commissions and the first to be added to a working craft.
I tweaked the original colour palette digitally, to produce this, T-shirt design, which has proved popular.
This painting, again in acrylic, was for an exhibition at the Everyman, Liverpool. I have spent a few days in the North East and this painting was from a photograph I took. I particularly wanted to capture the drama of the blustery weather. This was a big change from the very tight geometric shapes of the Dazzle picture, which I really enjoyed.
This is one of my first designs, featuring flamingoes. The artwork was hand drawn and then digitised to make the motif which was then added to the T-shirt. I’m still super excited to see a design on a product.

One of my dreams was to see my artwork on various products and Spoonflower has made this possible. I keep all copyright over my designs and Spoonflower arrange for the shipping of any purchases you make straight to your door! This gives me time keep creating more new designs. As time allows, I take part in regular Spoonflower design challenges and the “Celtic Rabbit” is one of which, I am particularly proud.
The ‘Celtic Rabbit’ is a Collection of patterns celebrating Spring. The quartered circle and spirals are my interpretations of Celtic symbols for the phases of the year, with Spring being the season of rebirth for Nature. As you can see, the design is available as fabric, bedding and also wallpaper.
